THE GRAPES

Chardonnay

Chardonnay represents 30% of the Champagne vineyard and the very large majority of the Montgueux vineyard. On the 6 or 7 terroirs of Montgueux its flavours are very diverse, from floral, (Acacia, jasmine, lime blossom, honeysuckle) through white fruit, (apple, pear, white peach) exotic fruit, (pineapple, passion fruit, guava) citrus fruit ( lemon, tangerine, yuzu) and mineral notes (flint, chalk- and gun flint). This aromatic and gustatory palette makes it possible to create blends whose diversity and richness have no limit.

Pinot noir

Pinot noir represents 38% of the Champagne vineyard and a small percentage of the Montgueux vineyard. Along with Chardonnay, it is one of the 2 grape varieties mainly used, alone or together, in vintage blends. A grape variety of the great reds and burgundy wines, it brings its fruitiness, power and length in the mouth. On the terroirs of Montgueux, located on the Champagne hills, it brings its red fruits, strawberries, raspberries, vineyard peaches and their colourful flowers, rose, peony. All this with a pleasant silky feel.

We do everything we can with great rigor and abnegation. ETIENNE DOUE
